Otte
Construction, Inc.
Company History
Started in 1928 by Karl Otte, Sr., as Karl Otte Contractor
& Builder constructing houses in Northeast Nebraska
and progressed into a commercial builder specializing
in churches.
By the late 1930’s, Karl, Sr. was established
in Wayne and that is where the company was to stay.
In the late 1950’s, three of Karl Sr.’s
five sons, Karl, Kurt and Paul assumed control of the
company and changed the name to Otte Construction Company.
Otte Construction Company followed in the same steps
as their father by continuing to build homes as well
as commercial projects. In September of 1994 Jeff Morlok,
a third generation Otte, purchased the company from
his uncles, as they were wanting to semi-retire, and
again changing the name slightly to Otte Construction,
Inc. Kurt and Karl remained on staff to perform estimating
duties for a few years and are now occasionally performing
work on a consulting basis.
Since 1994, Otte Construction Inc. has added several
key employees and enjoyed watching the company’s
annual volume grow from $750,000.00 per year to $3,750,000.00
in 2002.
